Portable Multi Cut-Off Wet Flap Gluer for Inline/Offline Finishing Applications

The SI Portable Multi Cut-Off Wet Flap Gluer is designed for applying glue to envelopes and other direct-mail products on a web as an inline operation. The unit is independently servo driven with a roll around drive cabinet/ or power docking station with a pin-and-puck system for accurate level and tram positioning with fork lift inserts for portability. The servo motor, software and controls are provided by SI.

With its easily removable single around Plate Cylinder, gear and pre-set linkages, press cut-off changes between 17.750” through 26.250” can be obtained.

Standard features include:

A dual pan roll design with individual adjustment of each pan roll for maximum control of film thickness
The unit is equipped with manual/automatic ON/OFF impression system
Manual machine side-lay of +/- 1” adjustment
Pin-and-puck system for accurate level and tram positioning

Options available are:

Glue tank/pump chilling system
Automatic lubrication system
Additional power docking stations and pin-and-puck systems for multiple locations

Remoist Pattern Gluers are designed for applying remoistenable glue patterns for products such as envelopes and personalized documentation for return mailings on a continuous web as an inline operation.

Wet Flap Gluer

Wet Flap Gluers are commonly found in offline and inline applications after the angle bar deck or first plow folder and are designed for applying glue to produce closed end wrappers / spot coating / or to apply “scratch off scents” such as perfume.

UV Coater

UV Coaters are designed for applying various types of dull, high-gloss and textured UV cured coatings on products such as magazine covers, direct-mail, digital inkjet, packaging/folding carton, printed forms and retail inserts on a continuous web as an inline operation.

Imaging Tower

Imaging Towers are designed to house Inkjet Heads used to apply variable data like addressing, bar codes, Logos and full color advertisements via digital inkjet imaging using water base inks for products such as direct-mail, personalized letters and retail coupons.
